Privacy Notice

idappt respects your privacy and aims to collect as little personal information as reasonably necessary to operate this website.

idappt is currently in pre-incubation and is being developed as an independent non-profit foundation. This privacy notice explains what personal data may be processed when you visit idappt.org or contact us.

1. Who is responsible for your data?

idappt.org is currently operated as an independent initiative in pre-incubation, with the intention of establishing Stichting idappt as a non-profit foundation in the Netherlands.

The person currently responsible for the operation of idappt.org acts as the data controller until the foundation has been formally established.

2. Website hosting and technical data

idappt.org is hosted by Hostinger International using its Business Web Hosting infrastructure.

When you visit the website, Hostinger and the systems used to operate and secure the website may automatically process limited technical information, such as:

• your IP address;
• browser and device information;
• the date and time of requests;
• pages and resources requested;
• referring information, where available;
• technical, security and error information.

This type of information may be contained in standard web server, access and security logs.

We use this processing only where necessary to operate, secure and troubleshoot the website.

The exact physical data-centre location used for idappt.org has not been confirmed.

3. Analytics and visitor tracking

At present, idappt.org does not use Google Analytics, Matomo, Hotjar, Meta Pixel, advertising tags or other visitor-tracking or behavioural-profiling services.

We do not use the website to track visitors across other websites or to build advertising profiles.

If analytics or tracking technologies are introduced in the future, this privacy notice will be updated and, where required by law, visitors will be asked for consent before such technologies are activated.

4. Cookies and browser storage

idappt.org does not currently intentionally set cookies or use browser local storage for analytics, advertising or visitor profiling.

The website is primarily static.

Strictly necessary technical mechanisms may nevertheless be used by the hosting or security infrastructure where required to deliver or protect the website.

If non-essential cookies, local storage or similar technologies are introduced in the future, we will update this notice and implement appropriate consent controls where required.

5. Third-party services

The publicly accessible pages of idappt.org currently load their website resources primarily from idappt's own hosting environment.

We do not currently intentionally embed externally hosted analytics scripts, advertising scripts, social-media trackers or third-party tracking libraries.

Our hosting provider and its underlying infrastructure may nevertheless process network and technical information as necessary to provide hosting, DNS, security and related services.

6. Information you send us

If you contact idappt by email, we may process information you choose to provide, including:

• your name;
• your email address;
• the contents of your message;
• any other information you voluntarily include.

We use this information to respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, to continue the conversation or relationship you initiated.

idappt.org does not currently require visitors to create an account or submit personal information through an online registration form.

7. Why do we process personal data?

Where personal data is processed in connection with the website, we may rely on our legitimate interests in:

• operating and maintaining idappt.org;
• protecting the website and its infrastructure;
• preventing misuse and investigating technical or security problems;
• responding to people who contact us;
• developing and improving the idappt initiative.

Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time.

Where you contact us in relation to a possible collaboration, service or other agreement, processing may also be necessary to take steps at your request before entering into an agreement.

8. Who may receive your data?

We do not sell personal data.

Limited technical information may be processed by Hostinger International and other infrastructure providers where necessary to host, secure and operate idappt.org.

Email correspondence may also be processed by the service providers used to provide our email infrastructure.

Service providers may process information only as necessary to provide their services or where they are independently required to do so by law.

We may also disclose information where required by law or where reasonably necessary to protect the security, rights or integrity of idappt, its systems or other people.

9. How long do we keep personal data?

We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.

Hostinger does not publish one fixed retention period that applies specifically to all web server, access and security logs associated with idappt.org. Such technical data may be retained by the hosting provider for service operation, security, abuse prevention, fraud detection, troubleshooting and legal compliance for as long as necessary for those purposes.

Email correspondence may be retained for as long as necessary to handle an enquiry, maintain relevant records or meet legal or administrative requirements.

We aim to remove information when it is no longer reasonably needed.

10. International data processing

Technology and infrastructure providers may process information in countries outside the European Economic Area.

Where personal data is transferred internationally, we aim to use providers and safeguards that comply with applicable European data-protection requirements.

11. Your privacy rights

Under applicable data-protection law, you may have the right to:

• request access to personal data we hold about you;
• request correction of inaccurate information;
• request deletion of your personal data;
• request restriction of processing;
• object to certain processing;
• receive certain personal data in a portable format;
• withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

12. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information and the systems used to operate idappt.org.

No internet-based system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. We therefore aim to review and improve the security of the website and its supporting infrastructure as idappt develops.

13. External websites

idappt.org may contain links to external websites, projects, sources or services.

When you follow an external link, the privacy practices of that third party apply. idappt is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of external websites.

14. Changes to this privacy notice

idappt is still evolving, and the way the website operates may change.

We may update this privacy notice when we introduce new website functionality, service providers, analytics technologies or other data-processing activities.

The latest version will be published on idappt.org together with the date of the most recent update.
